This is a question for someone who has expertise with headlamp wiring & fuses. I was thinking of changing the front turn signal/parking lights on my 01 Continental to switchback LED's, the problem is that I don't like White parking lights. As an alternative I was thinking that it would be pretty cool to put hyper White LED's into the front cornering lamps if I could modify them to stay on all the time. How would one go about changing the wiring on the cornering lamps to turn on steady with the headlamps rather than only one coming on with the turn signal?

They throw a LOT of light to the sides, almost like a cop car's alley lights. Do you really want to blast other drivers all the time?

I personally really like the white running lights, it's unique and much cleaner looking than amber IMO.

Also switched out the dismal halogen turning bulbs for white LED bulbs - much better. This was before the switchback bulbs.

So far I've avoided the switchbacks in the front because I don't want them to be confused for high beams. The last thing I want is to have the same lighting as any Saturn, which are the WORST headlight design ever slapped onto a car.

During the day it wouldn't be a problem but when the headlights are on, and the center lights were the same color as the HIDs, people would assume it's the high beams. Same thing happened when cars in the 90s put driving lights there instead of in the bumper.

I'm not worried about that, as you can see they aren't super bright and by no means would be considered blinding like high beams would be.

I'm not worried about the cornering lamps producing too much light. The cornering lamps are actually kind of dull with the stock bulbs and you don't get a huge amount of glare coming from the sides because of the reflector covering the bulb. I'm not going to mess around with the wiring anytime soon, I will probably just put hyper White Xenon-halogen bulbs in the cornering lamps for a more distinct look when activated.
