Break issues

I bought a 00 LS 3.0 that hasn't been driven in 2yrs. First thing I've noticed was I had to stand on the breaks to make it stop. I thought the issue was the break booster. I removed the booster and master cylinder.
While waiting for the booster to be shipped I figured I'd remove all calipers, clean and paint them. With the break lines already open, why not right?

So I have everything put back together but I can't remove the air to test the breaks. For an easier install I did booster, then master cylinder with what I believe is the proportioning valve.
Where do I start and how do remove air from the lines? I have a bleeder kit with a vacuum pump. I pumped for an hour and a half and got nothing
 
What happens if you break your brakes???

Seriously though... never let your brake lines run dry. IIRC... a pressure bleed at the dealer is about $200. You might also need a new master cylinder at this point.

How does it turn? My abs pump went out and my brakes didn't work well and it felt funny when it turned due to the fact it has speed sensitive steering, you might not notice that if you've never driven it when it worked right though

Is the brake pedal hard to push? If so... your power brake booster may have failed.

It's most likely not the ABS system. When that fails it just won't "pulse" the brakes like it should... and will allow wheel "lock up".

Yeah, but it's just about impossible to correctly bleed the brakes (when there is air in the lines) if the ABS won't cycle.

Probably a longshot, he said he replaced the booster, master cylinder and the proportioning valve though. I can't remember but I might've had codes related to the abs, I know a had wheel speed codes and other strange things going on. Probably a thread about it somewhere on here,
 
I have a scanner, no abs codes. I'll probably take it to a specialist at this point. Idk what else to do
