Well I have a 98' Continental which I love, but today as I left the bar I noticed the fuel gauge arm that was once a nice glowing red is now ...well...invisible!!
The light went out, so now I was wondering if anyone knows what type of lighting it uses, and if there is a bulb behing the arm what kind? And is it a pain to replace? Thanks to anyone that can help!!
Every other part of the instrument panel works perfect but the fuel gauge "arm!!"

I would:

1. check grounds and connections anywhere near the gauges/under the dash
2. check fuses (probably not the case because you say the other needles are lighting up)
3. take the gauges out of the dash to see if there is in fact a bulb, it shouldnt be too hard to do

Well I just got done tearing it apart and let me tell you it was a real pain and a mess as there is no room to work and the screws holing eerything in place are hidded tight. Plus you have to take down the whole dash and instrument panel to get there.. But its a short in the lead to the gauge, I got it working but it was a pain. Thanks all
