I agree!! Mine tows my boat and the occasional Mark VIII's Elliott and I buy. It's also nice to know that if I wanted to I could beef it up a bit to make it faster.

Regardless of what they say on the mpg 22 is a stretch. Guy the works for me just went out to Wyoming towing 4 4wheelers on a sled trailer, it avaeraged 12.
Plenty of power and never missed a beat.

Let's see. For me, it's more or less which car I bought first, since MOST cars I've owned I still have, just because I'm either too attached to the car to sell it, or the car is so ran down by the time I get through with it, that it's not even worth enough to bother selling it lol.

1986 Honda Civic 1.5: 2002-2002
1981 Mustang 2.3: 2002-present
1993 Mark VIII: 2004-present
1991 Ranger 2.3: (Dad bought new in 91) 2005-present
1994 Honda Accord H22-swapped: 2006-2007
1996 Jaguar Vanden Plas 4.0: 2007-present
1995 Thunderbird 4.6: 2011-2011

I think that's pretty much it, besides all the parts cars I've had over the years.
 
I am never going to sell my town car, hell never going to sell any town car I ever own again. I traded one in once, and I still regret it. Also if I can take my parents 98 Lexus LX470 off their hands I am going to clean it up, redo the whole interior and never sell that thing either. It has too many miles for a daily but perfect for a nice luxury show truck. 200,000 miles on all original drivetrain. Everything else I get tired of pretty quickly.
 
It's a truck,

not a car, but still have it since sometime before 1980, so... over 32 years:

1962 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Uni-body w/ a 292 c.i. V8, 3-on-the-tree

Traded a ragged-out '62 Triumph TR4-A for it, and haven't regretted it since. It has alum. Western mag wheels, and I got it painted red on white, and the seat and headliner re-covered right after I got it. (needs it again now) LOVE that old truck... Unibody makes it look tuff!
 
The longest I have owned a ride I will say it is my 1981 Kawi GPZ 1100 had it since 1985so 27 years.
My 1995 Yukon GT 2 door I have had since 2000 so 12 years.

I'd like to see a couple of pics of that truck. I've only seen a couple of the unibody 62's in my life. They're really rare and hard to come by. Hold on to it.

:)Believe it or not, I have actually owned each and every one of those vehicles. And the only ones I "inherited" were the '85 Chrysler and '79 Toyota. There have been several more, but I can't remember them all. Those are just the ones that I was the most fond of:D

my current daily driver, owned for almost 4 years now, my mark viii for almost 2 years (rarely use it) and my wife's daily driver for almost 2 years. all other cars i've ever owned i've had for less than 2 years each since i got my license

My 5.0 before the mods got 26mpg on a 600 mile trip not stopping once yeah 600 miles to a tank of gas.

Almost all other vehicles are 5 years or so.

Sorry it took me so long. First I had to get a round tuit, then find the last photos I took (last count I have 14,488 photos on this computer, turns out it was in 2009), then make a Photobucket account and figure that out, but finally... here they are! That's my '73 C-10 stepside in the background. ;)

Wish I could find/scan the 1980-ish photos, just after the paint job (w/ Amerflint).

Cool! That is a tough looking truck! Just needs a good coat of paint and a little TLC. I've only seen a couple of these unibody Ford trucks in my life. A neighbor of mine had a blue one when I was in high school. I don't know what ever happened to it. If I'm not mistaken, 1962 was the only year of this bodystyle. BTW, what kind of wheels are those?

Lets see Ive owned my 2002 LS since 07 so thats 13 years now, and the Mark that I sold a year and a half ago I owned since 2010 so that was maybe 8 years. I like to keep cars in good shape and running so they can last me a long time.
 
Longest car I had was this 79 RS Camaro. 10 years. I painted it 3 times and this was the last coat I put on it. 67 T bird metallic black with gold & blue striping over factory yellow color.
