XCAL3 for sale, 5 Unlocks left

Hey everyone, as some of you know I sold my 05' LS and picked up a 2013 Turbo'd Optima. So I don't need this anymore and it's just sitting around. I'll let it go for $250 obo, It's got 5 unlocks left.

can you educate me on what "it has 5 unlocks left" means. I have a xcal that I have used in my 06 PSD f350 and my 08 V10 f350 and as far as I know I can just keep using it for future use. Are you saying that after five more tunes being loaded it will not work anymore?

That's correct. It can only be used on so many vehicles before the unit locks. I believe the xcal2 had only 3 or 4 before it locked. You can pay SCT to unlock it again, but iirc that is around $100.

And fwiw op... What does a new xcal3 cost with tunes?

Last time I checked on Torrie's site the Xcal3 with tunes was $389. Tunes separately are $150. So by buying my tuner for $200 the buyer is saving $40
