About 3 months ago I dumped a bunch of cash into my LS loan to get it caught up with the KBB Blue Book Wholesale value so I could trade w/o taking a huge hit.

I just looked at my cars value so I can go trade it in soon and it went down almost $4000 in just a few months. Ill never be able to get off of this damn thing. Im going to try to sell outright, but dont see a lot of people having luck with that. Any suggestions? (besides setting this thing on fire and collecting insurance money)

sorry.... its a V8 and gas prices are high. People don't care that it is actually pretty good on gas, they hear "V8" and run!

Gas prices are falling below $3 a gallon. That is not high. I traded in my wife Explorer when gas was close to $4.50 a gallon and still had a good trade in value. More than KBB.

$3 a gallon is still plenty high, and people are afraid it will go back up anyway.

I was a Ford lot a few weeks back getting a recall done on my 06 truck.

Being bored waiting to be picked up I walked though the used car lot.

There was a beautiful condition 02 Conti all options Moon roof and all with just over 100k for $5900.

20 feet away fron it there was a 98 ZX2 Escort with 114k marked $5200.??????

If it isn't viewed as a gas saver people don't want it.

I see what you mean 02LS$^*(^(HKJBNK5168431*-/)(&%&%#~

I am willing to take the hit now just to dump this V8 and get a turbo 4 banger that people perceive as more fuel-efficient. Time to put the LS back to stock starting today.

i mjust sent u a message on cardomain, let me know how much u want for the angel eyes.

Thing is the person that buys the ZX2 will loose probably $3500 if not more as soon as it leaves there lot, the Conti buyer $1000 at most. So they will drive away thinking they are smart and going to save money, but will likely never save enough to even make up how much they over paid and will likely junk the ZX2 long before they even get close to it being a money saver for them.

plus the embarassment of going from a lincoln ls to a escort, your kids will never respect you, your wife will laugh, and everytime u pull up next to me, i will try and race because i know i can beat a escort in my ls6. LOL i am just playing.

And just when you think you have it all figured out the economy happens. So, now gas is getting cheaper, the dollar is getting stronger and your retirement disappeared. What are you gonna do now? I'm gonna stick with my LS.

price for diff??? and what is the pros cons for this

$1000 for the complete diff, You will get twice the traction as a stock diff. You can even drive the LS in the snow with confidence, as long as your tires are up to par too. Its a HUGE improvement in traction over stock. You can full throttle through a turn and not have the inside wheel burning up. You just take off.
