I've been seaching high and low and can't seem to find anyone who stocks both upper and lower gaskets for the 93 mark vIII. I'd like to remove my intake manifold and clean the IMRC's my concern is that if I remove the intake I wont be able to obtain the gaskets in a timely fashion. Please list your source my dealer has them for $35ea on a one week back order. There has to be another way. Help please and thank you,

Check http://www.rockauto.com/

rockauto only has the lower intake manifold gaskets the ones from the imrc's to the head not the upper from the imrc's to the intake manifold.

If I remember right, the gaskets have torque limiting washers built in them. I have known them to be reused if they are not damaged during removal. If you're just cleaning the IMRCs, you may very well get by reusing them, even though it is recommended they be replaced.

New gaskets are required if replacing the IMRCs (or other mating parts) since the new parts will not have the same seating surface and will need a 'fresh' gasket.

Eh if all else fails Autozone would more than likely have the IMRC-head in stock, and manifold-IMRC VDP special order, probably take 1-2 business days. Call em and ask.

Finally found sources for both. It seems most parts stores such as rock auto have the lowers (imrc to head) listed as intake manifold gaskets and the uppers (imrc to intake) listed as intake plenum gaskets. Just wanted to post this for anyone else who may have a problem obtaining them locally.

Felpro part numbers are:
MS95924 (upper intake gaskets gen1)
MS95714 (lower intake gaskets gen1)

Those gaskets would have cost you 67.00 from me plus shipping...they are sold each and you need 2 of each, and have not been on back order that I am aware of, ford shows plenty of each.

Driller.... they both have that sealer around the ports so I do not think they should be reused, and one does have the washers as you said.

Max

I got upper and lower ones from Max.

I have not reused them myself and like JP said have known gys to reuse them if they don't look damaged. But just because they don't looked damaged doesn't mean they will seal when reused. Someting to consider if the Mark is your daily driver.

I agree with you Max, I put new ones in. I'm just saying...

My point is if you're swapping parts (new or used) you should not even think of re-using gaskets. If the parts are the same you MAY get by reusing gaskets IF the gaskets are in good shape.

Your mileage may vary. ;)
