Want to see inside Front air shock?

I had to cut these up for parts and wanted to see inside one of these suckers.
First thing I did was cut rubber bladder off. You can see its covered in shock oil that was leaking out of shock. Other one came out dry.

Here is everything cut apart. You can see how Ford band crimps the bag to shock housing, the gold ring.

You can see how the top of the bag is secured. They insert bag about 1.5 inches then they press a steel ring to super hold bag in place

Here is the shock shaft and tube pulled out.

Yeah wow the Gen2's are totally different. They had to do it to make them easier to make I bet. Gen2's better to stick a cartridge in.
