I've wanted personal plates for a long long time. I've always wanted to get DV8 . Of course its taken, but I just thought of this one. LS8 . What does anyone think? Is that dumb? Just curious. Thanks.
 
I was gonna get my user name, but NY charges far too much money for vanity plates. They already take enough of my money :D
 
Got vanity plates on my car. DMV here only charges 10 bucks extra. My truck has plates with the state seal on them and they're vanity plates on top of that so I had to pay $35 up front for them but its only $10 extra for the renewal every year.

If you can get a plate with only 3 digits go ahead and do it.
 
Wow, $10 a year isn't bad. Up here it's $100 one time fee. I don't know if or when we need to renew them, but I know it's not every year.

Nic, I spoke with a woman the other day at work that has vanity plates and she said in our state that we do not have renewal fees just that $100 base amount.

I thought about getting a vanity plate "FOOSED" but I did not know if that was tacky.
 
In VA we have to renew every year, and every year since I started driving they have raised the renewal price. It has gone from 19.95 abut 7 years go to 42.95 now. And they're talking about raising it more. If they would stop paving roads that don't need to be :q:q:q:qing re-paved they would have some damn money to spend on stuff that really matters. It really pisses me and a lot of other people off. I'll be glad when my truck turns 25 and I can throw antique tags on it because then Ill never have to pay a renewal fee on it again. Just jump a few hoops, pay a one time fee, and get a form notarized, then I can tell DMV to FO.

I don't know if FOOSED would be tacky or not, but at least its relevant on your car. I'm glad we don't have to renew our plates. But I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we do.
 
I was gonna get MARK 4 ME but everyone I told the idea about didn't get it, so I chickened out. I thought it was good cuz the LS is like the spiritual successor to the Marks, and it also ties into the Hot Rod Lincoln song by Cmdr. Cody.
 
Around here I think it's $40 a year on top of normal registration fees... If it were cheaper I might do it! I guess I'm not vain enough to pay for that every year :)
 
What I like about vanity plates is when you observe someone doing something illegal or stupid it is easy to remember their plate.

I've seen some really good ones here lately. I saw a nice RX-8 with plates that read "RXLNT".

But for me... I want "N8S LS8"
For that to happen I would have to own a LS8 though. I do plan to get an 06 LS at some point in the future, when that happens I will tag it for sure. :)
