Ok, here we go...

We all have our User Names as mine is Mespock. So what is the story behind your screen name?

I know some are obvious like Joeychgo.... I assume is Joey from Chicago. 1wykdmk8 One wicked mark VIII....MonsterMark....I don't think Bryan is talking about his body parts LOL.

But what is the story behind Sifrino, Pepperman, Katshot etc....

As for Mespock it started back in the early 1990's when we got our first Internet connection at the school I teach. I was given the go head to explore the Internet and find out about this new media. I had no Internet at home and wanted an e-mail address. I found the old Rocketmail, which is now part of Yahoo. My son and I were into Star Trek at the time and I tired to used Spock and my e-mail address. I didn't want Spock124,67 so I tried mespock.

Since then I have used mespock as my computer identity.

heh... intresting.

my is what it is because when I signed up on other boards a few years ago, I owned an 89 Tbird SC. Well, I figured why change it... it's easier to remember between forums instead of having to have a new SN for every one

My name came from a nickname in Highschool. If I remember correctly, I had a friend pissed at me and instead of swearing he was making words up and Jibit came out and they called me it ever since.

I've also been called Smiley but I don't think that fits my personality well so I dont' ever use it!

This is so lame..."Hint's Clue" is one of my Quarter Horses registered name. Thought it would make a great screename, so I borrowed it!

My name is Joshua McAlister, a lot of my friends just call me "Mc" and "MadMac" is a nickname I've had off and on for a long time. "MadMac" and "JoshMc" are always taken when it comes to email and the like, and things like jmcalister are hard to come by as well. So I stuck it all together.

Well my retarded Stra Dog alias came about because my dad is in a motorcycle group/gang called " Stray Dogs "... and blah blah blah it's somehow on my plate now, so I just made it my name also.

Damn Rich.....I think you are the ONLY one to EVER figure that one out for yourself. Most ppl are like.......WTF does that mean. And here I was thinking I was gonna hafta splain what it meant....... :Bang

well mine is kinda a combination of nicknames i have an uncle who we call "apple head" well all my lil cousins just add head at the end of everyones nickname n when i was younger my unlce dubbed me wit the name buckett couse i ate the last piece of chicken in a bucket n i was a chubby kid so he swore i ate the whole buckett so it stuck wit me

Back in the early 90's when the Internet was first becoming popular to the public, I had was going to attempt to start a company called Codewize Computer Services. www.codewize.com

However as I evolved in the wonderful world of computers the path that Codewize was taking kept changing. The outcome is that Codewize Computer Services never evolved into anything.

I ended up with 2 companies www.adldatacomm.net and www.webspundesigns.com .

I kept the name as a universal log in.

Come on Kevin I know you want to tell the story again :)

Used to program Zilog z80's in high school (1994-1999). Have a shirt my dad got from attending Zilog programming courses in 1980-1981 on... dadadaduuuuuuum: Zilog z80's. Has a picture of Captain Zilog on it - there was a neat little comic about it too, something only true nerds like me would appreciate. "Stick it in your index register, Diabolicus!" Hahaha

Randeaux is the final product of an incident that occured over 16 years ago. (consequently, it's actually RAN-DOH, I just hate it being spelled that way.) We were a tightly-knit group of friends in high school (actually, a clique of Air Force Brats that outside of immediate family had no one else near San Antonio. Most of us had also known each other from the different Bases we had lived at earlier in our lives.)
It was the summer of '88 and most of us were between 14 and 19 at the time, we'd hang out at the local Dunkin' Doughnuts (Military Dr.) . Doing dumb stuff that teens do. Anyways about 11:30 the guy behind the counter (Who was a balder, fatter version of the Dunkin' Doughnuts guy) answered the phone, " Is there a fats here?" he had bellowed out. About 5 minutes later, the phone rang again, this time the doughnut guy came up to me."HEY FATS TELEPHONE! YEAH,YOU MUST BE FATS, RIGHT?" Mind you, there was at least half of the clique sitting right there when this happened. I looked at him as I had no clue at all as to what he was talking about."YOU MUST BE FATS, BRONZE CUTLASS, BLACK T-SHIRT WITH THE CURE ON THE FRONT, I THINK YER FATS!AWNSER THE (BLEEPIN') PHONE FATS!" This guy must have been no taller than 5'5" and about 400#'s, at that time I was about an even 6',260#'s.
Before this night my, nickname was "Gomer" after the character on "Full Metal Jacket" I looked just like him then.Somehow, to my "friends" (Gomer+Fats=Doughboy!?!) Anyways, to make a long story short, about 5 years later, it was changed again to the nauseating RAN-DOH ( after an embarrassing incident with a tub of "Play-doh" at a local toys-R-us.) and EVERYONE was (and still is calling me that) I just took it as a moniker of honor.
And then about '95or'96 I had changed the spelling of it when I went on a date and we ended up eating at a restaurant called "Pappadeaux's". I had an epiphany. I wrote my idea down on paper and I thought "How (expelative) cool is this?!?" And that's how Randeaux came to be. I Kept it when I moved to GA. And out of honor to the best(for the reals!) group of friends I have ever had, I just had everyone call me Randeaux. I actually consider this a classier derivative of Randy anyways!

Sirfrino Lives!!!! must have taken a bit after his Viking lost to the Pakers. Hey I was pulling for the Vikings!

Are you a Daddy yet! :Beer

In 1982, my dad let me key up his Cobra CB Radio in the car and he said, 'You need a 'handle'" ... so he gave me "HotWheels"

I was 7 years old, and being the only kid in town in a wheelchair, "HotWheels" became pretty popular. My dad's CB Handle is "Spaghetti Eddie" and he's known all through out the world on the CB (and who would think a standard CB Name like that wouldn't really be taken anywhere else in the world) so he said "Make sure you're as popular as me" (How egotistical is that?) Now we're talking about 1982 here on CB Radio... I kept "Hotwheels" to this day, on CB and in 1993 I discovered the "Internet" well, TELNET on a Unix box and joined my very first chat room telnet://resort.org:2323 (Can you believe it's still around) and someone had "Hotwheels" So I decided to spell it "HOTTWEELZ".

When I came home from College in '94 Summer, I NEEDED Internet, and signed up with CompuServe. I remember I was 155160,15@compuserve.com ! and was like "Hmmm, that sux" so I joined AOL and stuck with "HOTTWEELZ"

To this day, I'm the only "HottWeelz" on the Internet... just like Dad's realm on The CB Radio World in 1982. See the relation here?

* There is a "HottWeelz" on boatingworld.com (or something) and that's the only site he can join with that name... I make it a hobby to lock "HottWeelz" as often as I can.. I have email addresses that I don't even use... just to lock the name... but Mr. BoatingWorld "HottWeelz" has been fighting with me for years! I will win, I will win.

This is a cool thread. Usernames almost always say something about the person using them. In my case, there's only been one person that ever figured it out. He was a Navy pilot that I got to know online a few years ago. The history of the name goes like this;
1. When I was in the Navy, a common term for a catapult launch of a plane off of a carrier was a "cat-shot".
2. A few years ago, I had a Suzuki Katana 1100 streetbike (my dream bike). I named it Katshot. Just cat-shot with a "K" from the Katana.
Stupid name I guess.

Isn't that a dangerous thing to say for a guy from Wisconsin? I'm guessing you're not a native.

I was tired of my regular user-name that I usually use so I came up with another. I'm an Okie, and there's a redneck here at work that calls everybody by their name and adds "bob" to the end of it. It got to be a big joke around here, so now we all get in our hick-mode from time to time and do the same. My name is Ken, I just shortened it to K.

I'm native grew up close to Green Bay. Saw Gale Sayer run once and that's all it took to become a Bear's Fan. Now that's hard living in Wisconsin.

I also have a bunch of those fanatic Packer fan relatives - Drive you nuts!!! Packer Christmas trees, Packer, Packer, Packer, makes you sick.
