Traction Control- Service Stability code

First time post!

Ill get to the point


My dash is indicating for me to service my stability system on my 99 deville concours. Now I know Im due for brake pads because.I can already hear them however I dont know if that may be the issue Im just throwing that out there.

What is the best way.to approach this problem? Please fill me in on what this SSS is all about. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Well I know on the 2000-2005 Deville, DTS, and DHS, the StabiliTrak Systems are quite flawed and the Service StabiliTrak message will come across the driver info center all the time, many people just forget about it and continue to drive it, you could take it to a dealer but they would just charge you $500 for some new sensors. I'm not sure if the StabiliTrak systems used on the late 90's Devilles have the same issues though.
