Thomas Jefferson and Islamic Terrorists

Here is something to consider with regard to Islam:

In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the "Dey of Algiers" ambassador to Britain.

The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote to appease.

During the meeting Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey's ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.

In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise."

For the following 15 years, the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages. The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to 20 percent of United States government annual revenues in 1800.

Not long after Jefferson's inauguration as president in 1801, he dispatched a group of frigates to defend American interests in the Mediterranean, and informed Congress.

Declaring that America was going to spend "millions for defense but not one cent for tribute," Jefferson pressed the issue by deploying American Marines and many of America's best warships to the Muslim Barbary Coast.

The USS Constitution, USS Constellation, USS Philadelphia, USS Chesapeake, USS Argus, USS Syren and USS Intrepid all saw action.

In 1805, American Marines marched across the desert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves.

During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy.

Notice what the Muslim, idi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, told Jefferson and Adams when they asked him why Muslims hold such hostility toward America, which had no previous contacts with the Muslim world. (See bold text above)

So again, more evidence that Muslims make war primarily a matter of duty towards Islam, not as a matter of self-defense. Muslims were systematically attacking U.S. merchant ships that were in the Middle East to conduct trade, not make war. Despite the fact the U.S. sought a peaceful relationship with Muslims, Jefferson and Adams were essentially told to take their offer of peace and put it where the sun doesn’t shine. The U.S. paid millions to try to appease the Muslim terrorists (equal to 20 percent of United States government annual revenues in 1800). Yet, even millions of U.S. dollars were not enough to guarantee the safety of U.S. merchant ships and our citizens.

Accordingly, fed up, Jefferson decided to teach the Muslims a lesson.

So take notice that even over 200 years ago Muslims believed Mohammad and Islam teaches that it is their duty to make war upon non-Muslims. This is Islam as it really is. No one should believe for one second that there will ever be a peaceful co-existence with the Muslim world. Islam will always be a threat to world peace and stability because Muslims have been indoctrinated by their Quran to attack and conquer non-Muslims.

Islam is NOT "a religion of peace."

So the U.S. Marines were first called upon to fight on foreign soil against Muslims in order to protect American property and American citizens. The Barbary War should have been the first lesson the United States should have learned about Islam. Congress should have had engraved plaques made about the Wars and hung them on the walls of the Capital and the White House so that future representatives and presidents would be reminded of the Barbary War and second war in Algiers and why the U.S. Marines were called into battle. The lesson is clear—Islam is not "a religion of peace" and ultimately Muslims cannot and will not be appeased with gestures of good will, money, and offers of peace. Why? Because the goal of Islam is to take over the WORLD whether through war, terrorism, and/or by non-violent means. Islam is not just about domination—It’s about full and complete eradication of everything non-Islamic, including freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and representative government.

So all you goody-goodies (particularly naive liberals) out there who believe that taking the so-called "high road" with Muslims will eventually yield lasting peace between people of all faiths and atheists alike—You are only kidding yourselves!
