So far in the last day I have been investigating if a lincoln 2000 to and including 2002 conti or towne suspension compressor will fit into a 1996 to 1998 Mark *. The part numbers in napa are just 1 number apart. But will they interchange? Shots at it appreciated

I couldn't swear to it but I've seen the Town Car compressors and they are not much like the Mark VIII compressors, so I would say no.

Sure they can be made to work. Wiring is pretty much the same. But fitment is not and they are not the same physical size. So there is no direct swapping.

Excuse me, I may have accidently erased the first words of your post. Ford,Lincoln parts said they are different animals. One more check out and I am done . Pull a part has interchangeability lists on line
