Submurged Computer

Patrick Norton built one on Revision3's Systm video podcast. He has mentioned it once or twice on the Tekzilla video podcast, and from what he said, it's a royal PITA (apparently, the mineral oil is somewhat messy ;) ), and was pretty much only worth doing for the sake of saying you've done it.

Systm video:
Revision3 > Systm > Episode 94: How to Build an Oil-Cooled Aquarium PC - Patrick Norton, Hack, tech

Edit: That's interesting--I tried to post a link to the Systm page, but the forum seems to have embedded the video instead, so I moved it to the end of the paragraph.

By what I have gathered, if you don't have the external conectors just right, the oil will wick up the cables and onto everything else. I agree, it's a messy project.

It would be real sweet if it got rid of the heat right. thats alot of damn work just to have to mount a radiator. fans and a pump to keep it cool enough to OC it. But it does look sweet.
