Guys,, I have noticed that twice now when I have shut my car off the steering wheel will shake up and down.

I have googled and found a couple others (not on here) that have asked about this with no answers.

Does any one have aby idea if this a sign of an upcoming repair that I could prepair for?

Its a 2004 LS sport V8
Thanks

It's a sign that the steering wheel position sensors are getting noisy.

If it bothers you and you don't really care about the "easy exit" feature, then turn the easy exit option off. (Use the message center, setup.) With easy exit off, you'll only get the wheel shake when you switch driver settings.

Otherwise, you can ignore it (it won't cause any damage) or you can get the sensors replaced.

Joe,
Thanks alot. No it doesn't bother me(not yet) as it has only occured 3 times or so.. I just wanted to head off any potential problems.

Thanks for your advice and guidence this site is very reassuring to an owner of this car!!
