hello everyone,
well i just got my 01 ls a few months ago, has 120,000 miles on it and i love it, but i been thinking about changing the grill, headlights, bumper all to the 06 LS. but i have been thinking lately if i should just sell my gen 1 and just buy a 06 ls, which well come with the things i want to do, 30 more horse, as well as about 50,000 less miles. What do you guys think???

If you really like the LS... and you can upgrade to the Gen2... Then you should. OR, you could just do the visual upgrades.. and buy a supercharger from Quik... :D

but the only thing that i dont like about the Gen 2 is that there is no wood in all the ones i seen

yea, but honestly, the fake wook on the 1st gen sucks, wood on the 03+ lse's are way better. but honestly i like the black and silver and the overall interior of the 2nd gen better then the 1st too. so much more to love. i say do it...

I just never got the idea of seeing wood in a car, what's the point, I understood in 100 year old cars cause plastic did not exist. my first car was a 1980 mustang 4banger it had wood grain colored dash, gross. I will be taking my LS panels out soon and sanding them and painting them black, It's like putting dual exhaust on a GEO.

Go for it. I like the wood on mine. It's a nice touch. Not too much wood, but just enough to give it a luxury taste not overkill.

i want mine to be color matched to the exterior paint..instead of this wood grain bull

theres not alot of 06 ls out there, i would like a black on black fully loaded with navi and everything, but cant find one

The point is, it adds elegance and luxury. Gives the car more class.

It also converts a boring interior

to not so boring interior

go for the 2nd gen, there are so many improvements, theres not even a question.

If you can swing it, get the gen 2. I would. But I still have a year of payments on my LS.

Well the 03 up is the better car i think. The 00-02 rear styling is way better.

not to mention all the mods you gotta do...i'd rather put up with my LS problems I get for the fact I get to keep all my mods, more mods are available or at least easier to do, the insurance is cheaper, plus I like the tails and headlights better of the Gen 1 than the Gen 2. Plus if I want to upgrade my interior I got body shops that can do that..but why spend an extra 15-20k (price of a 2nd gen around here) just for an interior upgrade and 30+ hp? not to mention loosing all my current mods.

If you have an unmodded LS Gen 1 I say go for it...but my preference is different
