I just recently traded in my 2004 Lincoln Aviator for a 2007 Cadillac Escalade base. I guess both vehicles should have brought me here....
Anyway, my goal in the trade was to get a vehicle that tows my camper better. I'm not yet convinced I accomplished my goal since the Escalade seems to struggle as much, or more, to tow the camper. It is less effected by side winds than the Aviator was though.
I was limited on height. A Tahoe and Yukon were both too high to fit under my garage doors but the Escalade and Yukon Hybrids are slightly less tall and fit.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to finding others here who have solved a lot of the issues this Escalade seems to have such as wind noise, suspension noises, and a whistle from the rear when towing the camper at 58mph or higher. Did I mention this is the first GM product I've owned? I tend to be more of a FoMoCo person.
