Rubber Cupping

2000 LS6 95k miles what is the name of the rubber cupping housing on the front of the drive shaft, theres one in the front and one in the rear its like a big chunk of rubber, the reason im asking because my mechanic says that rubber piece is starting to break apart does anyone know the name and the price for one of these he said they usually go for $130.00 each and both of them are going bad

It's called a "coupling," and Team Ford has it listed at $67.78.

What SoonerLS said, cupping is a wear pattern on tires.

No personal experience, but several posts here lately have noted poor service by Team Ford and suggested an alternative. Might be good to chase this before purchase.
