Recurrent code

Misfire on cylinder #1.

Seems to happen under light acceleration, ~40% throttle it will buck/miss and set a code. Doesn't seem to buck/miss under full throttle, but will stutter from a dead stop/full punch. Idle is smooth and steady.

147K miles, well kept. Not sure if the pump is getting weak or if I've got an injector failing. Plugs and wires have ~30K miles.

Ideas?

Are you running 764 coppers?

Honestly I don't know. The PO had just put the plugs and wires on shortly before I bought it. I'll have to pull one.

If you didn't do the tuneup yourself I'd throw in some fresh plugs and wires. I've been told things by previous owners that weren't always true about past maintenance.

If they are coppers their life is just about over.
