First and foremost, thanks to Ray/Family making it what it is. Ray, cheers buddy. Secondly, Thanks to Adam aka hotrodlincoln96 for continuing production of the switch available to us Mark-ers.

If you wish to know more about the switch or see if and when they are available, refer to this thread on the board: http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=41580

I don't know if there already is a thread concerning the RaySwitch, but I figure I start one for future reference if there isn't. But forgive me if there already is a thread of similar topic. ( couldn't find a specific topic using Search)

My issues questions:

1. I was able to slam the full car down when I was trying the switch out prior to putting all panels glove box together. Eventually the Rear would drop down, as it takes longer for them to do so.. as a few members can attest for.

Now, after putting everything back together-when hitting the switch down it only lowers the fronts. I know it takes a couple of tries and some time to get the rears down, and wait and wait.. but nothing.

I know the sensors work because when the factory settings raise and lower the car when off/on the freeway, and Park and Drive, etc..

Did I by chance loosen some connections when I put the Switch into the corner and put everything back together?

2. Is the toggle UP on the switch supposed to raise the car? For example, I have the Air Ride Switch in the trunk clicked to OFF. When I lower the car through Rayswitch it'll go down, but when I click up it just stops lowering and it nothing else happens. Every time I want to raise the car I have to go to the trunk and flip the AIR RIDE SWITCH in the trunk to ON.

Is this how it's supposed to be? or did I again mis-connect or loosen something

If anyone can shed some light in this it would help me when I open her up and check the connections again this weekend. The mark looks funny with the front lowered and rear of the car in the air... also, popping the trunk and flipping the switch every time i want the car to its normal height.

It won't be fun due to the fact that the wires coming from the car to the switch are so short, making work space an issue, nonetheless I hate having something half-assed.. pun intended.

Thanks for any input.

I may be wrong, but I thought the suspension switch stayed on when using the Ray Switch?

yup driller the switch stays on.

the up direction on the switch, raises it. you have to hold it down for a few seconds and it resets the computer, but its not like you think it will be slow.

either theres a wiring issue or the vent is getting clogged and the rear wont weigh enough to bring it down

I need to pull it apart and recheck my wiring...once I replace the r aircomp.

When the trunk switch is off, and you hit up on RaySwitch is it supposed to go up? Cuz mine doesn't.

:slam turn air ride switch on, leave on, dont touch! the up portion on the switch resets the air ride computer hold it count to 10 and release the compressor should kick on and car will eventually go up.front first then the rear. note the compressor will "time out' after 90 sec, so if its weak you might have to repeat the process just give it a minute to cool between cycles.

Doh..

I must have read it wrong somewhere.. haha.

Well, I sensor lowered the rears so i hope that helps. I currently have the system off. I want to get a compressor first, since i just replaced the relay. dont want to redo everything later on.

I just got a compressor from the JY and i hope it's ok. havnt had time to test it yet. Although the Gen 1 I got it from still had all its bags inflated so I hope that's a sign that the compressor is still okie dokie. better than mine at any rate.

I followed American Air's instructions how to take out the air compressor.. and man, it was harder than it looked... or just I'm stupid as hell. I spent at the least an hour trying to get that thing out at the JY.

I couldnt take out the air intake silencer, so I had to rip off the bumper to push it down past the screw studs. Then, I couldn't take the compressor out of the cage, so I just pulled the whole assembly off the car and bent the beam opposite of the Dryer and then I was able to slip the compressor out.

But I noticed that this setup the Relay was on the side, versus mine was towards the front of the car.

Is it easier on a Gen2 to pull out compressor? if not, im gooing to have lots of fun when I work on mine... in not trying to break anything.
