Hi everyone, I finally got around to completing this!
Very easy, for a first gen M8. I have a second gen, though I installed a first gen Radio to make room for the Asham 8 and a suspension on/off switch right above radio.
All you need is a 1/8 to 1/8 headphone cable, cut off one end, then solder 3 wire connectors (you can pull these from the back top right jumper if you don't have the CD changer in the trunk). If you use the jumper you have to cut the two jumpers into 4 pieces. (each jumper has two wire connector pins, you must separate these)
See wiring diagram below.
If you want to make it look stock you can add one of the below items with a USB charger (wires to 12 volt source). I'm happy with having the cable run down under the centre console coming out at the seat, where I plug in my phone to listen to my music.
Very happy for the better sound quality and that the cassette adaptor wire will no longer be hanging out of the cassette door. Now the Lincoln emblem on cassette door can proudly be seen!
