Hey guys, here goes

Couple weeks ago i replaced the dead neon, with a junkyard part.

I reconnected all the wires including the ground.

However, now every time i hit the brakes i have crazy static, on certain bands, some stay clear

Parking light has low static, still can hear music, brake is just full static. However when listening to a cd, things are crystal clear.

So, My question to you is this,

Is there anything i should check to see if i messed up somewhere?

And would a antenna filter do me any good?

Did you hook up both the ground wire by the keyhole and the wire mesh that attaches to the ballast?

Wire mesh? I'm not sure I'll have to check in the am. If it was there and obvious I'm sure I did. If not so obvious then it is possible I forgot it

The black wire from the keyhole area is already attached to the ground on the ballast. The 2 pieces of wire mesh hanging down by the pigtail also have to be grounded. Not having the mesh grounded can result in odd reception issues. Heres a couple links to read through..
