Race seats

Has any one ever mounted racing seats to there stock seat tracks? Would love some more info. I am thinking about doing it with a set of sparcos.

From what I have read (in recent weeks as I have been kicking this idea around also) you can purchase seats and use the mounting bracket for a Thunderbird. I have fixed my driver seat twice now with no more than one use before it fails. I may end up following the write up on using the TBird brackets on the Mark8 seat.
