Question i have a Gen I LS with those tacky looking chrome pieces on the front and rear bumpers, has anyone painted those, and if so with what luck and do you have pictures of how it turned out

I have a write up for mine... came out ok, my color was a little off from paintscratch... but they have a return policy for that... also need to use a self etching primer..I did not.

A lot of members have done this mod. As the above poster said, you have to use an etching primer.

oh I dont remember exactly, a day / evening to prep and bondo, day to paint and clear, day to dry...something like that

My rear bumper chrome has been painted for years...I'm happy with it.
