After seeing some cars on here with the lower grille painted, i decided i liked the look. With some advice from Pektel (thanks btw) i took on the project this weekend.

All in all, a cheap project that looks pretty slick. Everyone ive asked about has wondered why Lincoln didnt just paint it in the first place. Dont mind those pesky license plate holes, thats another project once my paint comes in.

Very Nice! now all you gotta do is clear the signals, paint the bezels to match and add angels then get clear side markers and rims... DONE.

what kind of paint did you use?

I used duplicolor bumper gaurd flat black. Be careful, there is a dark gunmetal gray color that looks like black in some light but definitely is not. I dont think i'll clear the turn signals, i like them the way they are, but possibly the side markers.

Im a fan of the stock grille, the mclaren grille just isnt my style.

I hear ya there. I had a McLaren on mine and wasn't really diggin' it. Eventually went to the LSE grille because I had the stock 8 spoke chrome wheels, but now that's the only thing on the car that's chrome. I would do like NickT88LSC and HylifeLS did - paint the chrome on the stock grille and leave the center the way it came from the factory. Then again, you have the chrome on the bumpers, so that probably wouldn't look too good. lol

Looks good! Nice job! I prefer that particular paint just because it matches the sheen on the stock (and mclaren) black.

looks good, i think its a great mod to do, way better than stock. i almost grabed the gun metal on accident when i did mine
