Yes, problem is that the OEM part is unavailable through the dealership and FPG. Jag is >$300 for just the VVT!!!!Good find!!!

That would be great! It depends if I need to remove the bush carrier to get them out.I think the only thing you need to pull to remove the VVT solenoid is mostly the valve cover and the ignition coils.
There is a gasket, but good luck finding a replacement one. RTV is the right idea. You can twist and pop the filler out to better apply the RTV and then reinstall it.I did not!!!! I know better than that! LOL!

I also noticed that my oil filler neck is leaking a bit from where it joins the valve cover. Does that have a gasket? If not, I'll put a bead of RTV on it.
