i have a 2000 lincoln ls v6 5speed and i only get cold air blowing no matter what its set to. Coolant has been flushed refilled and completly bled out and still no heat what should i try next to get this going its getting pretty cold out now.

I was going to check the dccv but have no clue where its at or what it looks like does anyone have a pic they can post of the dccv.

All LS's are five speed, so I don't see why you throw that fact out. Are you trying to say that it is a manual?
Your problem is not uncommon, search for it. It's probably the DCCV, but it could be the DATC, or since you have gen I, it could also be the cold-air bypass door.
The DCCV is at the right side of the radiator. On the V6, it is easy to see.

Cool, 1 year and 1 day response time. So, have you resolved the problem?

No its just an extra car so i havent messed with it. Probally havent drove it but 3 times over the past year, but i did just get another dccv so ill be putting it in this weekend. Hopefully that fixes it then im going to try and sell cause i just dont need it.

flush it out too

put a hose on the coolant system and flush all the old crud out. don't be skimpy either, flush it good or the left over crud will jamb the DCCV again. Fresh antifreeze and bleed system by the book, you may have to bleed it several times to get all the air out.

Do i put the hose in the storage tank and just let it run? Also my replacement dccv is used my friend owns a salvage yard and someone bought the engine radiator and so on so i went ahead and grabbed the valve i followed your (tireman) write up on taking it apart and cleaning it but was just wondering if there was a way to check everything (make sure it works) before i put it back in? Thats quiet a bit of work for it not to work.

I tested my other dccv my unplugging it with the engine running at full operating temp and still never got any heat. When i run the self check i get no codes

got it all done thanks guys this forum helped alot. Tireman your writeup was great in getting this cleaned and to make sure all was in working order i tested it on the bench by putting power to it.
