So I have come close to finnishing my Mark and am just waiting on a few more parts. Now that is put on hold. As I was leaving work today a 17 year old girl in a Mazda Tribute cut into my lane with only a couple feet to spare. She then promptly slammed on her brakes and there was nowhere for me to go other then into her rear end. Couldnt stop in time and the car is messed up pretty bad.
Cops didnt issue any tickets and said nobody was at fault. I dont have full coverage so im pretty much screwed. This is so depressing as I just spent so much damn money on the car.
Its hood, grill, headligh, drivers fender, upper rad cover are all toast. It was a 25 mph accident so the car itself is ok and I drove it home 50 miles ok but I cant drive it like it is and I am not going to fix it. I am just gonna find another one and take my wheels/stereo from the old one then sell it off. :(

I am so freakin depressed about this whole thing.

I saw the picture after reading 17 year old girl came into my lane and I instantly got pissed the :q:q:q:q off.

Sorry to hear that man, people just can't catch a break these days.

Edit: Then I got even more pissed when you said you aren't going to fix it :( .
 
Ouch, i know the feeling....trust me i had a 18yr old put a trailor hitch through the front of my car. I cant belive your not going to try and fix it, sh*t give it to me and i will!!!!
 
I just dont have the time or money to do it and I need a car right now so I have to buy something tomorrow.
I will put the 97 up for sale because its not all that bad and anyone with some skills can make her perfect again. I just cant handle it right now and have too much other crap to deal with.
 
i'm sorry for your loss man. Reminds me of when Jamies black 98 got smashed in the front...
 
Laser, idk what to say. I hate to see this has happened but I would really like to see you hang onto it and fix it. Just hold off on the future mods you were gonna do and buy one part at a time if you have to. I have watched you put too many steps into this car to just let it go.
 
unreal holy :q:q:q:q man, wtf????? you have a cloud over you or something. i would have beat her senseless. dude, put it on a trailer and bring it to me, i will fix it, trust me, after what you have done you need to fix it, dont give up. just get it to florida and go back to texas and forget about it for awhile. i'll fix it and when its done come pick it up. i have almost all the parts, and what i dont, i'll get, just pay for materials and some labor, i'll do you right, you cant give up, the car deserves another chance, you do too, after all the b.s you have been going through, dont let a little fender bender put that car down. i'd be happy to fix it, i wanted to shoot the dick that slammed his brakes on it front of me, i almost parted my 98, but i couldnt, after i cooled off i started fixing!!

I NEED A CAR TO DRIVE TO WORK NOW! I have no choice but to get another car and sell this one. There is no other way.
 
Sorry Jamie, wasnt yelling at you. Im just so pissed and upset about all this. It is just too much to deal with at once and the stress is taking its toll. :(
 
Then slap a hood on it and drive it!!!! Mine had bungie cords holding the hood closed for 14 months. Now its went to hood pins......sucks but it works!!!
 
At least take off all the aftermarket nonsense. Not just the wheels and system.

Get another Mark and put it all back on.

Thats why I carry full coverage on ALL of my cars. It costs more initially but boy am i glad i have it when i need it.
 
Yeah I will get another one and put its wheels/brakes on the old one and keep mine. I will also remove the front braces and the sway bar is already sitting on my work bench. Guess I have a spare tank now too.
 
Jamie remember how my toreader red ended up? worst than that...and right when I had gotten it how i wanted it. New paint new wheels my car was a gem and then i ran a red and there she went.....mines was worst since my chassis was bent. Laser yours still has hope dont give up yet take it to Jamie. Laser when I get home today after work im going to post pictures of my old 8 so you can see the disaster.
 
Holy :q:q:q:q man, you have to be cursed or something. I can't believe she wasn't at fault. Can't you sick your insurance company on her? I think you can.

Things like this, is why I am sooooo happy I carry full coverage.
 
Dude NO F**KING JOKE, Listen up, you are not cursed, nothing is wrong, S**T just happens & look at the bright side, you could've ended up hurt. Your best bet is to:

#1. RELAX! RIGHT NOW YOUR VEINS ARE ABOUT TO POP... & it's understandable. You can drive the car wherever you need to tomorrow as is. I think we've all driven worst.
#2. As soon as you get back home, grab a sledge hammer &hammer that hood down into place (more or less) & tie it. I drove a Mazda with a broken hood for 4 1/2 months tied with a rope.

Drive it as is & slowly get it going. It will be WAY BETTER than buying a MARK VIII that you have NO IDEA where it came from, how it was driven, etc... This is YOUR car, YOU know it better than anyone else.

Remember, RELAAAAAAX!!!! Count to 1,000 if you have to man, you will regret your decision.
 
i agree. just bend crap back the best you can for now and drive it till you can get everything you need to put it back to cherry. you will NOT be happy with whatever you buy, it just wont be the same mark.
