Ok Guys,I'm gonna start posting on the Swap, but your going to have to bare with me cause I have photos skewed from my video camera, cell phone and Google+ back ups but I think I have lost some of the detailed photos of the motor mount issues...

Proof that this was a Junk yard pull out of a 2011 F-150 truck, the intake is black on the trucks and the runners are tuned differently than the Mustang,no good for higher RPM's,Bad enough it starts to fall off @5800...The Mustangs are cheap on Ebay.$50-150,I got mine for $60 shipped, and i already know what some of yall are thinking,Boss ? Waste of time until you do the big cams,CIA,90mm TB,but even then my tunner thinks it's a waste $$ these cars need low end torque and the Boss intake takes that away...

Below are photos we started taking of the first of what I knew right off the bat was going to be a problem, the steering input shaft
and frame clearances..

And just a bit of a disclaimer to anybody that reads this thread, nationwide all the tuners will tell you that 150 shot of nitrous is pushing it on a stock internals "mustang" Coyote with 11:1 compression,I'm running the truck version (10.5:1) on 225shot now,but I have a very good Friend/Tuner tuning this thing safe and everybody knows not all engines are built the same,i could have gotten a hold of one of those gems that is built tighter than normal, who knows..nobody in the Ford world can believe I been beating on this engine all summer (june 21st to present @ 109 nitrous passes) with out a single issue internally..next time I do a compression test I'll post the results, last test at around 70 passes all cylinders were with in 5-10lbs doing 1 pump and 5 pump test methods....

oh ya..but it is still an expensive swap.$8k min with all the other parts, tuning and tyranny torque converter upgrade, the stock 4R70W can't handle the kind of power i'm making..you gotta go with Trans go reprogram race kit, deep pan and RedLine race clutch packs...i'm not into the T-56 swaps in the Marks, just not for me as much as I race...there are some pretty important valve train differences between the Truck,Mustang and Boss variants that I'll post at some point, most important is the valves..And the $8k is parts alone being frugal on buying and doing it all your self minus Long Tube Headers which is another $1250+ min..We just bought a set of used Craigslist stock GT headers and just modified the driver's side to clear the Steering shaft...this is by no means a straight forward swap, but I did the leg work first so shouldn't be near as bad with my info just a lot of patients and money cause all the little stuff adds up really quick too..LOL

The Beginning, pulling old faithful out..Putting on the GT intake, headers,Hayes SFI 8 Bolt flex plate from a 03/04 Cobra, yes the truck has a forged crank..And probably the most important bolt on before the engine ever get installed is MMR's head cooling mod kit that ties the heads together in the back..#8 like all MOD motors in the past is the hottest of all due to the water passage dead heads around #8 and has nowhere else to go..The mod lets it flow though to #4 creating 360 degs of flow..On my PLX gauges I read OBD signalsfor temp, fuel trims volt etc. Coyote has InfraRed water temp sensors,so it is reading cylinder head temp, not water temp and mine averages 175-190 deg at idle or scooting around town running 90% water & Redline water wetter...The Mustangs are notorious for blowing #8 with only an aggressive tune driving around town, trust me it's well worth the $199.00 or so it costs... part# 455478 http://www.modularmotorsportsracing.com/2011CM2.jpg

That is a lot of squeeze kind of explains your axle shaft issue...lol
Do you have a baseline of all motor?
Did you run with a smaller pill to start with?

Thanks for posting this lots of great info here.

Did you have to do much modification with all of the accessories or did you just use the accessory brackets from the truck? What would you say was the most difficult part of the swap? Seem like the wiring and electronics would be a nightmare.

331 on motor I believe,stock GT headers..

Sweet build. I wanted to do a Mark VIII, but I'm too deep in my Mark VII build. Hopefully she'll grace the streets of Pasadena and surrounding areas. So I take it that E/T Motorsports is helping you with your build?

Ya,my good friend Dave is the owner of E/T Motorsports and we did the swap at his shop, but i'm going to have to do the bulk of phase 2 in my garage this time,he just has way to many extensive projects in line at the shop for me to take one of the lifts for 2 months..lol
