I was surfing car porn on YouTube and happened to run across this classic from last fall at the SuperCoupe Shootout in Xenia, OH... :drunk:

For the record, that was the finals of the bracket series for the day and the Blue Flame victoriously pulled into the pits with a flat tire after that final run. :D

how many runs did that driveline have before you retired that setup?

Love how you caught up to him, hell of a run. He broke out too.

Technically, it's not yet retired as it's still in the car. The latest ETA on the new shortblock is the end of the month.

2004 - 96
2005 - 46
2006 - 69
2007 - 68
2008 - 107
2009 - 32
2010 - 58+

Over 476...

Last year's records are split on 2 different PCs, likely over 100 runs in 2010, so that would put it over 500. (The car was down a good part of the '09 season getting heads and cams done.)

Then there are likely a couple hundred more runs at the local Flashlight Drags - a non-timed, heads-up 1/8 mile drag racing venue.

Does anyone have a more consistent reaction time as you? Besides practice what is your key to your launch?

I cant wait to see this car when it's done....

Thanks, I'm getting awfully antsy myself. LOL :D

As with most performance shops however, schedules get pushed this time of the year. When one project takes longer than normal, everything else falls further behind. I guess I would rather have that issue than a mass produced smallblock though.

LOL, I have lost my share of races at the tree.

Consistency in every move from the staging lanes to the tree helps. I also try to ignore the other lane.

looks like all you need is a better tires to really move out
