Ok folks. Starting a DIY timing chain replacement thread. I figured this would be the best way to do it for those who are at Lincoln LS enthusiast but don't quite have the money to go to a shop and don't want to pay the outrageous prices...

So first step is tools. What kind of tool will we being using?

Kits or parts. What are the parts needed for the replacement? Are there any trusted kits or manufactures who are trusted?

And last preventative maintenance. While we are balls deep with front torn apart should we replace, check, grease, etc.

The reason I'm doing this is because come spring in Ohio my bike comes out and car goes in shop and the fun begins. And tax time vastly approaching I want to get everything I need to do the job with my return.

It found kits ranging from 200-600. With all parts included.

I believe there are a couple of (recent) threads covering this in it's entirety. Not entirely sure, but I do remember people posting how-to's and pictures of the process recently.
