I once bought some Ivory Pearl (Tri-Coat) Touch-up from my dealer and it was almost useless. It was so thin and they told me it was made to be put on several times over and over like tricoat to get the right effect when touching up.
I was never happy.

Well today I was in Hobby Lobby looking for gifts for my Niece and nephew
and on a lark bought a bottle of craft acrylic and Holy Shiat...its a perfect match to the Ivory Pearl and thick enough to cover nicks and such.

Here is a link if you want to try it , those of you with the Ivory Pearl Tri-Coat 2nd Gens.

Color: FolkArt ® Metallics - Champagne, 2 oz. (#0031) $2.29

May have to try that. Our '97 LSC is Opalescent (paint code WK). Pretty much the same as pearl white. Ford doesn't make it anymore. I've been thinking about trying www.drcolorchip.com to see if that will work. They have the WK paint code. And the process looks promising.

I bought the touch up from the dealer also. Pretty much useless. What I did was cover the initial chip with Oxford White then put the pearl over it. It isn't perfect but it looks good from 20 feet away.
