Today it snowed for the first time this season in GR, Michigan. I'm wondering how many of you use a giant rubbermaid container with sandbags in it for traction?(Or Similar)

I keep 3 80lb bags in it and only one was opened last winter (helped a friend get traction in his Neon). You guys have any other ideas that work as well or better? I only have $12 in premium "Play Sand", so it seems good for the money.

Is there any people you dont like? lol, dont do that, ill go to jail.haha

i keep 3 tab asphalt shingles in the trunk. if your house has a 3 tab asphalt roof, go poking around the basement, utility room, attic, whatever, and see if the builder left the remnants of a bundle of shingles. builders usually do, so homeowners can do patchwork and have the shingle color match. pilfering a few from the bundle is quite all right.
pop one under each drive wheel when you get stuck. they work great for traction and you can just keep going, leaving them there in the snow.
