So over the last few weeks, I have noticed one of my headlights getting condensation on the inside. I put it in the oven and then resealed it with black RTV sealant, but its still looks like moisture is getting in.
My question is, does anyone know a good way to check the light for leaks? I put a good amount of sealant around, so I'm surprised it wasn't fixed the first time.
Thanks for the help.

yep

take a flexible hose from your sweeper, duct tape it to the end of your hairdryer, remove center light, put hose into recess behind headlight, spray headlight with soap solution from spray bottle, turn on hair dryer, you will see bubbles coming from cracks.

lol that would work, i did something like that but, with a vacumm to get alittle dirt out that was trapped inside

Here are a few things to look at. Look at the breathers, the little J shaped pieces of rubber on the back of the light. Make sure they are in place, water can get in there one way or another. Make sure the gaskets around the bulbs are in properly, thats another cause.

And most important make sure all the grey sealant is level and cleaned up well before putting the lights back together. In most cases when people have constant leakage after resealing the units its do to not cleaning up the grey glue and when it clumps it leaves a elevated area so the silicone has a easier chance of leaking in that spot.

I've had some cars fog up the lights before. I got rid of the fog by drilling a small hole on the bottom side of the reflector.

Only if you buy the rest of the car, too :D . Thats the trend around here now isnt it? Seriously, I am very close to taking a reasonable offer for it and moving on...

What's with everyone selling their cars.
