Hot CD

So I'm driving home from work and decided to toss in a cd in for some tunes. The music suddenly changed to the tuner after about 20 mins of playtime and when I looked the radio display was flashing HOT Cd. I ejected the disc and it felt considerably warm but not HOT and in the meantime the radio underwent a psychosis of sorts as it was changing itself from Cd to tuner with no disc in the player until I got home.

I've searched here & abroad for hints but couldn't find anything helpful so I ask: Has this happened to yous before & where should I start poking the stick at?

Sounds like your head unit is getting old and senile, keep an eye out for another one.

Same as above! Time to swap headunit. Too old to even worry about it. Just swap it.
