Just joined the site as I have purchased a 2000 Lincoln ls v8 about a year ago, and am starting to have problems. Had check engine light come on scanned for codes and got p0171 and p0307. I'm learning as I go with it, but I replaced cylinder 7 coil pack and spark plug with no change, checked fuel injector using the "flathead trick", and injector seems to be working. Developed some kind of engine knock and cannot diagnose it. Thought my girl may have put 87 instead of 93 and maybe that was the cause, ran tank down and refilled with 93. Rechecked engine codes and came back with a p0175 now. I read where I could disconnect battery to help pcm to get back right with the new fuel, but no change in knock, however engine light is off now. PLEASE HELP!!
