Do anybody know any sites where I can find an high output alternator for a 2004 lincoln ls? I am upgrading my stereo system to over 2300watts and All the sites I find for an high output alternator are for the 2000 - 2002 model Ls's and not the 2004 model

I do not know of any places offering high output alternators on stock for the LS. What you could do is have your existing alternator rewound so as to provide a higher amperage output.

Try contacting PAPerformance.com. They don't have one listed for our cars, but I had bought a 130a alternator for my old 87 LSC about 5 years and it's still kickin' ass to this day (in someone else's car obviously). They make some pretty good stuff. Obviously you'd probably want more than 130 amps, but that was an upgrade over what I think was a stock 85 or 100 amp stock alternator.

Good luck.

i gave up looking and bought a new(new to me) alt from a junk yard and sent it to a friend of a friends shop to have it rebuilt and rewound. he thinks he can only get about 175 or 185 amps out of it without grinding out the shell to next to nothing, which is still not enough power but its better than the stock alt that i am running now.

a kicker 1500W RMS mono amp for the two 15"L7's and two kicker 500W RMS 2-channel(250W per channel) for the componets front and back, a couple monitors, a 500w power inverter, and a bunch of lights to light up the amp racks, just to name a few.

the big kicker alone needs over 100 amps

Thanx 2 everybody who replied, I finally found 1, Its a custom built alternator by this company called Rangler but they want 699$ :q which is way to much, so i am not gonna do the system at all. If anybody wants the information on where to get the alternator just let me know.
