Great Rainy Monday and the MArk Wont Start

Well at least the Giants won and it ain't snowing. Hopped in the Gen II this morning and it started for a second or two then died. After turning off the key it waitng a couple seconds and attempting to restart I just get a high pitched screach, not even the normal turnover but not starting sound.

I had to get to work so I took the Mustang so I have not checked anything - Ran fine Saturday, not raining enough to affect anything.

Battery is new (90days Motorcraft) so I have a feeling it is the starter motor. Any thoughts?

Ford... LOL... Why does moist wet days give them hell LOL... or at least it seems that way..

At least it waited till it warmed up to the 50's today and tomorrow.

Raining too hard to do the starter last night but I did test the battery and it was at 56% so I charged it - tried to start and same issue and battery back to 53%. Ok I kept the org battery and after 2 attempts it was at 53% so it looks like the starter is sucking it dry - joy joy I was sooo hopeful...
