Gen II folding mirrors on Gen 1

Since search sucks and I cant find exactly what I want I have a question.

For those of you that have a Gen 1 and put on the folding mirrors what is involved wiring wise??? Is the connector the same??? Will the puddle lights work or need to run a separate wire??? If connector is the same are the wire locations in the connector the same?? Anyone have wiring diagrams for the both???

It's not plug-n-play, but it doesn't look too hard to do.

IIRC the harness is the same but the gen2 mirror side has more wires (puddle lamp and heat IIRC). I didnt use the heated mirrors. I tied into the light on the inner door pannel and wired in my own connector and power to the pudddle lamps.

I did the same as Hite. Just wired the puddle light to the door.

Do the door lights come on when the car is unlocked via FOB?

That is one of my favorite features of the puddle lamps, is the spaceship-esque lighting when approaching. Having LEDs in the lamps enhances this effect.
