Could someone please tell me how to remove the fuel pump from the tank.

thanks.

Have you dropped the tank yet?

Tank has to be removed to take out the fuel pump. Been there done that...

Make sure you disconnect all tubes and don't pinch any fuel lines.

It's good to have as little gas in the tank as possible. At least I found a lighter tank easier to work with.

Once the tank is down it's easy from there.

My tank looks pritty ghetto...id realy like to get a new one...but while im at it, why not just get a fuel cell....fuel cells are something i have not researched or done anything with. What would be involved in that. could i use the factory pump and contaner?

im thinking this but again, i dont know anything bout anything with cells.

What does a ghetto plastic fuel tank, under a splash shield look like anyway?
If you have an extra $100, spending it on something else. I'd worry about fuel cells last.

The fuel pump swap is a giant pain in the ass. As those instruction surely tell you, you need to drop the exhaust and the tank. Unfortunately, Lincoln/Ford didn't think to put an access door under the back seat like my other cars always have seemed to have.

I think some people have actually cut a door into place, but, frankly, I'm hoping to not have to do that repair twice. And I don't want to mix heat, sparks, metal shards all around my plastic gas tank with fuel in it.
