Question, has anyone ever straight piped their LS, I have a 02 v8 LS and I am thinking I want to straight pipe it. Also is there any risks of any exhaust system damage by doing this, will it give the best sound, and how hard is it to do to this car "will I have to run a lower pipe to shoot a exhaust tip out the bottom etc", I did a glasspack on my previous car"99 Passat" and found it to be fairly easy.

I had a longer response typed out but just search "straight pipe Lincoln LS" on YouTube.

The best sound is open to interpretation. Pretty sure on an LS there's a performance loss straight piping. Noticeable, I don't know, maybe your mpgs go down.

Alright that was kinda a fear of mine, the other idea I had was putting Magniflows, or even glasspacks on my car

If you really cared about mpg you should have never bought an LS.

Straight pipes usually sound like ass on most vehicles.

A free flowing exhaust won't big down an engine. Clogged cats will.
