So i got my new dccv in today and decided to replace it. I havent had heat and car has been known to overheat while car is sitting.. Anyway when i bought the car 5 months ago it didnt have heat now I know why lol.. I dont know what this lady did to the car but I wasnt good. That is Sand and it was compacted in there pretty good. Its a 2000 V6

just imagine all the other places that you have with just as much sand

I know that Bar's leak and other band-aid coolant leak crap can reallly clog some passages.
 
Yeah i know. As soon as i saw that i flushed the system.

I think that I would also replace the thermostat and inspect or replace the water pump. Pumping sand is likely to have eroded away part of the impeller.

Exactly what I was thinking.

That looks like the stuff people pour into their coolant to 'seal leaks magically' :rolleyes:
 
wow!

Check every hose for free flow, thermostat, water pump, everything. Flush them out good, those particles can get back and ruin a new DCCV. Flush!
