Starting up, coming out after a quick stop, I had the Check traction control warning come up on the display along with the traction control and ABS lights on the dash. I drove about a mile wondering what just happened. I had a chance to pull over and stopped the engine then restarted. The traction control was clear on startup and the ABS cleared after I began driving.
Was this a fluke or a harbinger of things to come? I really can't think of anything I did and have had no trouble with either in the past.

You probably have a wheel speed sensor becoming marginal.

I believe you are right Joe. It is becoming more common and starts with the ABS light on first. Is there a way to determine which one? Also am I able to replace them individually without replacing a whole component, like say wheel hub?

Yes, there will be a stored code pointing to the problem sensor. However, not all code scanners can pick up ABS codes.
Yes, but the hub itself could be the problem.
