Car shuts down

2006 LS V8 at 111,000Km.

On the highway at hwy speed 100-110 suddenly quit. Engine died. Pulled over car started right up. Back on hwy at speed and same thing happens.

I don't have code reader.

Anyone have any thoughts before stealer shop gets the car.

Vacuum leak, bad MAF causing engine to stall, etc... More trouble shooting needs to be done. I'd try some throttle body cleaner first.

Have you done any work under the hood in recent times? I put a set of headers on a truck once, and a month later started having intermittent dead engine episodes. Turned out that part of the wiring harness was being blown against the headers as I drove, and eventually it burned through part of the harness. I didn't notice that the wiring could do this at the time of install. Not saying this is your problem, but it is something to consider if any work has been done.
