When I bought the car, it had two key FOB's on there but did not work, even with new batteries. They were Mercury brand but I assumed they were probably reprogrammed for my car. Now I just think they were put on the wrong key chain by a previous dealer.

Where could I order FOB's for my car?

Ebay can even get you replacement covers for under $10. But the remots are also cheap. I usually pay $10-$15 for a complete remote on ebay.

I got mine off Ebay. Also did you try reprogramming them just to double check?

You know, I was thinking that the FOB itself was supposed to be programmed for a specific car but just read that it's the other way around. I found the programming procedure and the one FOB actually works.

Now I just have to do something about the back plate falling off! Maybe a dab of krazy glue will work.

You can order the new remote from a Ford dealer (with driver memory recall) for about $50.

lol

Not crazy about the memory recall deal. I'm the only one that drives the car and my settings are exactly they way I want them to be.
