I friend saw my Mark VIII and now is interested in getting one.

We are looking for something in the Midwest. He wants an VIII as he like the fuel economy plus the style and performance.

We are in Southwest Wisconsin and would travel aprox 300 to view a vehicle.

If you know of one or have one for sale let me know.

Are you willig to travel a little farther than 300 miles if its worth it? I flew down to Florida to pick up my mark. You can find great deals if you look. How much are you willing to spend. There's a '93, pearl, 60K I think, with a bunch of upgrades including stereo for 5K but its in Arizona.

Have to totally agree with Jibit on this one. I have owned 3 Mark VIIIs. One I bought in Milwaukee @ auction, one in Florida @ auction, and one in Texas 1/2 hour after trade in. Guess which one is the rusted out parts car? Go south my man, go south. You will not believe the difference in the cars when they are not attacked by snow and salt. And they can be bought for way less, thus justifying the expense of getting down there. Planes are cheap right now, cheaper than driving, that's for sure. Good Luck. If you find one in Arizona, Texas, or Florida, give him yours and keep the one you find. Just troll on Ebay for a month or so. Great ones turn up all the time.

Thanks, I will have him looking. :Beer

I know about the rust. I am taking care of the one rust spot on my right now.

Good to hear. The Ebay route is really the way to go. Make sure they do not charge a "prep" fee. Otherwise, there are a bunch of people with wholesale licenses willing to buy a car and toss it on Ebay and make $500 on it. And might I add, working on a clean, rust free car is way funner.:Beer
