where you pour new oil in.

It looks like your unscrew it - but I've really yanked on it without much luck.

There are two locking tabs on the inside base (bottom) of the neck....

i though the same thing but I didnt have any luck i did not wanna yank on it too hard my luck yanking + unkown part = SNAP=$$$$$costly repair$$$$$$

lol yeah I dont think so... Thanks again I got a qoute on the clock spring about 90-95 I think cant remember but still cheaper...

Lou,

I'm surprised that's not in the DVD service manual. Maybe one of the fellow LvC members that are Ford Techs can answer that.

If I recall........it just twists off. I had to replace my oil filler tube when I did valve cover gaskets. I would equate it to taking off a top to a prescription drug container.

cool - so sort-of down and counter-clockwise?
That is the way that I did it.......hope your part comes off as easy as mine!

tell me, why did the jack ass who did my vcgs break off my filler tube/neck. any quick fix? he offered to put some glue on it. i dont know how much good that is going to do. i hope they didnt take out the oil dipstick tube. id hate to see that.

Did a service shop do the repairs? If they broke it I'd have them fix it correctly.
