Anyone have a Beehive retainer off to measure?

Need to know the retainers O.D. where it slips into spring. People keep asking about the BTR springs and want to know if they are "drop in" with STOCK beehive retainers. If anyone can help it would be nice. Thanks

The Bee Hive springs were only on the 96 and up correct?

I have a set of 94 heads sitting on my bench but I think there just the standard.

Yeah B heads are really only scrap nowadays.

I wanted to add to this so others can know info. These springs are a drop in on mk8 beehive springs. I finally tore down a set of 98 heads to check retainers. They fit 100%.

Stock spring on left BTR spring on right you can see that they are wound in opposite difection so we know these are not just stock springs.

Here is stock steel retainer on BTR spring. One less thing to worry about.
