So, here's my drivetrain vibration story.

- Replaced the rear halfshafts in July '05, which resolved a drivetrain vibration that started at 75 mph and got steadily worse with speed

- In winter of '05, I noticed a low rumble and mild vibration from the rear when driving the car cold in ambient temps below 50 degrees. After 10 minutes of driving it goes away. I've never been able to get this one figured out. I had a couple of guys on another forum suggest it could be u-joint (which someone posted here this car does not have), or measuring the "ring and pinion backlash" to see if that needs to be replaced.

- Last week I drove from Atlanta to Denver. When I drove 80 mph I would get a vibration that seemed to come from the drivetrain. I could feel it in the seat, pedals and steering wheel. After driving 80 to 85 mph for about half an hour it would go away and the car would be smooth. UNTIL, I stopped, even just to fill up the gas tank. Then the situation would repeat when I got to 80 again.

I have no idea if these three things are related. But there it is.

Any ideas?
