Yea=] I got a lil happy! I decided to put the pics up @ the same time so....there you have it=D

Those do look very good!

Post pics of the install I'm curious to see how well they fit up close.

I see allot of Halos that look to small and are kinda funny looking when they aren't on.

I hope those last for you cause that is a very cheap price. Usually they don't do that good when they are that cheap. I wouldn't be surprised if the inverts go out with in a week or so.

Good luck!

Post some install pics!

Well i'm new to the Angel eye thing, but hey, if they do go out, its not like i came out of alot of money. But how do i go about finding new inverts say they do go out?

 I got the same kit about a year ago, they went out after a couple months. Is it possible to replace the inverters with a better unit? I really like how they look when they work. One side works ok, but the other side just comes on real dim & flickers.

If you cant find them on e-bay you would probably be out of luck. Ask the seller about replacements.

:headbang: I think I found some replacement inverters for a good price, they appear to have the correct connector as well.

Update: The new inverters are in and the eyes finally work again. The connectors were different, so I soldered on the connectors from the old inverters to the new ones to match the lights. We'll see how long they last. They do seem to be better sealed than the cheap plastic units the eyes came with.

I experimented with those particular inverters/ballasts. I found out that they don't last very long since they will operate at extreme temperatures. Keep an eye on those to make sure they don't over heat.

I don't think those Will do much more good. Its stupid to protect them from water and stuff, cause I hope you don't plan on getting water under the hood anyway, but that shield will probably trap the heat they produce making them even worst off.

The heat with the inverters is pretty much the downside to those cheap ones. Make sure you can hopefully place them in a spot that wont get to hot to begin with or your just going to be at it again in less time.

Do the inverters operate at high temps or do to under hood temps due to the engine cause them to heat up? I had the eyes lit up for a while & the inverters were warm, but certainly not hot.

When I took out the old inverters, the pc boards inside were half covered in a white rubber coating, the other half did have a fair amount of dust on them. Hopefully the sealed ones will at least stay clean. The aluminum case might help dissapte heat as well.

The inverters themselves get hot. Just keep an eye on them.
